If we consider our energy resources in terms of a balance sheet, how many of our daily activities, interactions, thoughts, etc. would be placed in the deposit-column and how many in the expenditure-column? It is likely that for many of us, we are operating in a state of chronic deficit, actively spending from our energy account, and making little conscious effort to replenish it.
At this half-day restorative retreat, enjoy several hours of deeply relaxing practices, inspired by the yoga and mindfulness meditation traditions, with simple, gentle techniques you can put to use in daily life right away to counterpoise the effects of stress, pressure and intense pace, including a complimentary CD with guided relaxations for you to take home to encourage continued practice. The workshop concludes with a light and nutritious lunch shared in silence before you move on with the rest of your day. No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary.
Make it a “designated self-care day”
If you have late afternoon or evening work, this retreat is gentle and relaxing enough to be included in your day, but if you are able to have the day off, consider attending the retreat and planning restorative activities (or non-activities) for your afternoon and evening to create an entirely self-care-oriented day. Contact Tiina if you need ideas on what to do with the rest of your day (many do not involve spending money).
