Mornings & Evenings of Deep Restoration
Give yourself the gift of deep relaxation with these workshops that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and restored. You will learn that deep relaxation is within your reach, and with continued practice, many of the techniques can be applied in everyday life to counterpoise the detrimental effects of stress and the often intense pace we keep. We will gently move through guided relaxations, simple and supported reclining restorative yoga positions, and easy breathing exercises that together become a long guided meditation. No previous experience with yoga or meditation is necessary.
Because continued practice is optimal, you will receive a free CD with three guided relaxations ranging from 5 to 20 minutes to help you have a home practice should you wish to continue. Consider coming to the workshop with a friend, family member or partner, as it is a lovely way to spend quiet time together, and as with many things, continued practice is easier with a ’buddy.’

“CANADA DAY 2011 MINI-RETREAT”
Let go of striving for a day. Join us for this relaxing and enjoyable one-day in-city retreat. A morning and afternoon of simple practices inspired by the Restorative Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation traditions. Absolutely no yoga “pretzel” poses, and absolutely no previous experience required (yes, really). This is a great event to enjoy with a partner or friends, and also a great way to introduce an absolute beginner to gentle restorative yoga and simple mindfulness meditation. If you can lie on the floor on blankets and bolsters, you can do this workshop!

Tiina is passionate about making yoga practice accessible “to the rest of us” in a non-competitive and supportive environment. Inspired by her experience practicing yoga through her own physical obstacles, and by her own struggle to implement and sustain regular self-care practices, Tiina aspires to teach and share yoga, and inspire home-practice, in a way that is accessible, beneficial and safe for just about anyone. She has a no-nonsense, non-dogmatic and down-to-earth approach to teaching yoga that integrates respect for the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern anatomy knowledge and clinical experience, in a context relevant to everyday life.
